Awesomeness of CPU I

Semester one in Canadian Pre-University (July 2010 - Dec 2010)-Part 1

The awesome experience started on July 10th 2010. It was the registration day. I was little nervous to study in Subang Jaya for all the negative comments I received from people around me about the lifestyle in Subang Jaya. Then, as time goes, I figured that it depends on the people in that city to choose how to live. After all, I shouldn't have let the prejudice about the place to haunt me even before I go to that place. If you are going to a new place, keep your mind open and ready to accept any chances readily.

During the registration day, I saw people from all walks of life. It was intimidating to see a lot of smart people around me. That was a terrifying experience for me even until now. Very less people around me smiled, they were serious and were too smart looking for me (no offense my friends). Now, when I think about that day, Oh Lord, I realise how timid I have been and CPU took only one year to change me and give me the self-confidence. That's the power of Canadian Pre-University of Taylor's College.

After all the registration formalities and speech, we were brought to our accommodation, Casa Subang, an apartment which is 15 minutes away from college (if there is no traffic jam). While waiting for the transportation, I talked with my two new friends from Sarawak. One was from Kuching and the other one eventually turned out to be my housemate in Casa Subang. That was a good chit chat about how we ended up in Taylor's College.

After having a good introduction with my another housemate in the apartment, I started unpacking all my stuffs. I was so excited until I did all the arrangement on that night itself.
The next day, we went for shopping in Mydin. That was my first time going to Mydin in Subang, when everything seems new, everything went wrong at the same time. Maybe that was the first time I am shopping myself without my parents. I really wished that they were around, at least my mom, so that I don't have to think things like which brand I should choose and so on.

The next day, first Monday in Subang, I expected massive traffic jam, so I took the earliest shuttle bus to college for the orientation. After reaching college I realised that it was not a very smart decision after all. I reached college like 2 and 1/2 hours earlier than the time orientation starts and I don't know what to do. I sat on a beach near The Web and start falling asleep. That's bad if you fall asleep on the first day of your college. There was an advantage too. I got an opportunity to meet my old school friend in the college. He was doing A-levels.

During orientation, we were given a chance to meet with a lot of people under one roof. I wasn't talking much, but much more were observing people. As I have said, the prejudice about the people and the place prevented me from mixing with new people. I always had the fear to talk with people. But not anymore, after a year in CPU. We had a lot of activities. Out of all the activities, I enjoyed the Time Management seminar from Mr.De , one of the awesome lecturer in CPU, the most. His tips on time management really helped me a lot. It was superb, fantastic and great.

Orientation went on well, I met quite a number of new friends. In the end of the day, I was skeptical whether I can survive through this program for year. After all, I set my mind to accept any obstacles that comes in the pathway to finish this program well. So many of them have done it, why not me. Always I keep these words in my mind: Nothing is impossible.
